The mine produces a hard coking coal product from the Bulli seam which is predominantly exported to steel producers in the Asian market. Mining occurs within ML1376. WebThe proposed Tahmoor South coal mining project is a longwall-mining extension to the existing underground Tahmoor Coal Mine, approximately 80 km southwest of Sydney in the Southern Coalfields of NSW. It is proposed that up to four million tonnes per annum of run-of-mine coal (coking and thermal) will be extracted from 2024 to 2035.
