WebMar 8, 2014 · they are fairly big - 30-32mm diameter and cura won't slice the bolt. Strangely yesterday it happily sliced the bolt when it had a bigger thread pitch, but today it puts a cylinder inside and then the thread is a cobwebby mixture. the nut printed fine! The threads yesterday had a bigger pitch - 3.5, and the ones today 2.0. WebMay 29, 2015 · If your good with some CAD software, you could make the model hollow, which should force cura not to fill those parts. Also if letters are too thin (<.8mm) you may have to cheat and tell Cura that your nozzle is actually .35 (and shell width a multiple of nozzle e.g. .7mm). What if you connect up all those line segments and you get an *almost* loop that doesn't come back together? WebAs comparison, I'm running Linux (LMDE) with a 5900x, 1080 GPU, 64gbs of RAM with an extra 100gb of swap. My old machine was running Win 7, i7-4770K, with 32gb RAM and 60gb of virtual (RST) - haven't run into a model that was too big (though I didn't run Cura 5 on that machine).

I will re-check my model. The word was made in Inkscape and imported to Blender as SVG, and the board itself was made directly in blender.
