Then for every kit you use on w.e, you get the all the great benefits to harvesting, battle dmg (DPS), weight reduction for overweight armor, or added armor buffs when that is needed.

Repair kits are really only worth it in case you're going far from base with low encumberance (so carrying the ingredients will weigh you down) or for items you don't have the recipe for.
