WebAnyway, i took a look at OEM, aside from the $2,000 price tag before labor which made me sick to my gut, I have considered a Bimmertech Retrofit. My concerns/questions someone may help me with, as the help on Bimmertech kept telling me I had to buy a $3,000 retrofit, not the $699.99 MMI CarPlay. WebThe MMI Prime supports wireless Android Auto and CarPlay, same box like you suspected. Why they market them separately I have no idea. I have done both with my personal Pixel 3 and work iPhone. However wireless connection can be buggy on occasion and I was plugging my phone in regardless to charge it so I just switched to wired. Works much better.
